Today is the the annual implementation of the statewide 4PM Burn Law. This means from today until April 30th, open air burning within 300 feet of vegetation is prohibited before 4PM. This is due to seasonally relatively low humidity, dry fuels (ex. leaves) and seasonally gusty winds.

We as an organization have a lot to be thankful for this year. The biggest blessing is the support we receive from our Brooke community! We thank you so much and may your Thanksgiving be as blessed as ours.

Today Engine 5 is staffed by 4 volunteers, 3 of which are Nationally Registered Paramedics. Training today was on medications used by paramedics as we prepare a member to take the National Registry test for Paramedic.
