Crews across Stafford County are combating brush fires and illegal controlled burns at an alarming rate. In order to keep citizens happy, healthy, and safe, Stafford County requires that all open burning (for land clearing and or site clearing) undergo a permitting process, and that all residential or recreational fires be conducted in a safe manner. Please see the attached information for details. If in doubt, citizens can call (540) 658-4440 at any time with any questions or concerns.
